By participating in our 8-Week Intern Program you can earn valuable skills as a youth leader and help improve the lives of inner city youth.

Graduating from high school does not guarantee that youth are ready for college and the world that awaits them. 1~Shine will provide selected high school students with an opportunity to participate within our 8-week Summer Intern Program. Selected students will have an opportunity to gain a Service Learning and Volunteer hours for completing our 8-week program in which they will intern as Teachers Assistants, Recreational Leaders, and Youth Mentors.
Interns will be partnered with Lead Teachers, where they will carry out specified duties as Teachers Assistant and learn leadership skills that will prepare them for college.
